Business Development Manager

TELYON is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the commercial and industrial solar sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to establish and nurture relationships, identify opportunities, and drive business growth in alignment with the company's objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in municipalities, universities, schools, and hospitals to understand their energy needs, sustainability goals, and financial objectives.
- Business Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the targeted local communities to expand the company's footprint in the commercial and industrial solar market.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solar solutions that meet the unique energy requirements and budgetary constraints of each community entity.
- Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive proposals, presentations, and bids that effectively communicate the value proposition of our solar solutions, addressing the specific needs and concerns of potential clients.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations, finalize contracts, and ensure all terms and conditions meet both client expectations and company objectives.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the commercial solar market within the local communities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and finance to ensure seamless project execution and successful implementation of solar installations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 3 + years of proven experience in business development, specifically within the commercial solar industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully cultivating and managing relationships with municipalities, universities, schools, and hospitals.
- Strong understanding of solar technology, project development, financing models, and energy policies/regulations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to analyze market trends and develop effective business strategies to drive growth.
