Renewable Energy Asset Manager

Telyon is seeking a talented and experienced Renewable Energy Asset Manager to join our dynamic team. The Renewable Energy Asset Manager will oversee the optimization and profitability of our solar and battery storage energy projects. As the Renewable Energy Asset Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the operations, billing processes, and performance tracking of commercial solar assets. With 5-10 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, this individual will bring a highly desired skillset to Telyon.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commercial Solar and Battery Storage Asset Management: Oversee the performance and optimization of commercial solar and battery storage assets, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability.
  • Operations and Management: Coordinate daily operations of solar assets, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing maintenance protocols.
  • Billing Experience: Manage monthly energy billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing clients.
  • REC Tracking System Performance: Monitor Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) tracking systems to ensure compliance and maximize revenue generation.
  • Annual Entity Filings and Tax Preparation: Collaborate with finance and legal teams to facilitate annual entity filings and tax preparation related to solar asset management.
  • Asset Management Software Expertise: Utilize specialized asset management software, such as "Power Factors," or other similar platforms to track asset performance, generate reports, and streamline operations.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Lead the design and implementation of new asset management policies and procedures, continuously improving efficiency and compliance standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with solar asset management, proactively addressing potential issues to safeguard investments.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients to provide regular updates on asset performance, financial projections, and strategic initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial solar asset management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, tax implications, and compliance standards in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar and battery storage energy systems, performance metrics, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in asset management software, such as “Power Factors," or similar platforms.
  • Experience in operations and management, with a focus on optimizing asset performance and profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in billing and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
